In a Montessori classroom, experiences in life sciences (botany & zoology), physical sciences, history, geography (man-made and natural), arts, dance and music are given to the child under the header of cultural exercises. The Montessori cultural studies curriculum provides children with an opportunity to explore the whole world including the continents, countries, people, cultures, terrain, natural phenomena, sciences and arts.This manual contains 44 activities with concrete materials to enhance the child’s understanding in the above mentioned subject areas, to develop his personality, to help him adapt to his own culture and become an independent, useful member of his society.
